Confessions of a Bookworm

Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) - J.D. Robb I have to say, while I've loved all of the In Death books up to this point, this is the first one I've thought was basically perfect. For one thing, I have so many Roarke feels right now. He was already my favorite character, and getting to delve so much into his past and his psyche was wonderful. Many, many thanks to the author for that! I also loved the case itself...and for the first time in this series, I hd no clue who the bad guys were until the very moment Eve did. I didn't even have an inlking. Maybe it was because I was so focused on the other things about the book (ROARKE!), but either way, I loved having the shock value of that for once. It was also a great book to bring in a new character (I love McNab already!). The dialogue was perfect, and I actually laughed out loud more than once at some of the banter. Just all in all, an awesome read, and I'm very happy to finally be able to give one of these books five stars all around!
