I'm stranded right in the middle of blizzard Nemo, and I thought it seemed like the perfect time for a re-read of a favorite book.
This book remains a favorite for so many reasons. No, it's not perfect, but it really is wonderful. It was also the first book I ever read of Kaje Harper's (who's since become one of my very favorite authors in the M/M genre), but it was also one of the first books I read in this genre. It has so many things I love...the slow build of John and Ryan's relationship and falling in love, coming out, building a home and life together, family moments with John's kids, a fair amount of hurt/comfort moments...and on top of all that, a suspense plot that gives us some action but doesn't at all take over the story.
I've read this book three times now, always all in one go, and it never gets old.
